Just as I was landing in Portland, Oregon with an extremely bad headache from the planes descent, I remember the pilot's voice coming though the cabin telling the passengers to turn to the left for a view of Mt. Hood. I have to admit, I was kind of in shock when I saw it. Especially since it was the first time I had ever seen a volcano! One the pilot said was capable of erupting! It amazed me and I knew I had to get a great shot of this massive piece of earth jutting out from the clouds.
