I often watch these beautiful creatures flutter about in quick tactical maneuvers, dodging and darting one another with an occasional confrontation. That day I chose to sit not 4 feet away with my camera on the same level as they and try to photogragh my frenzied friends. In this photograph this particular ruby- throated adult female was my most frequent and would stop for long periods of time and watch me as I watched and photographed her. Both our curiosity and interest at peak.
