It is the national flower of Malaysia (since July 28,1960). Pacific Islanders use it in salad. Used in hair care as a preparation & decoration. Used as a pH indicator. Also used in Cosmetic skin care function, as an anti-solar agent by absorbing ultraviolet radiation. Also used as medical ingrediants in Chinese Herbology
