Kulwa has many uses for her red bucket; a seat, a drum, a step ladder, most importantly, however, a water vessel. I stayed in Mang'ula Vllage in Tanzania for 5 months and the sight of Kulwa with her heavy red bucket on her head became a regular sight. Her family home lacked running water so Kulwa made the trip to her neighbours house to collect it, several times a day.
