While wildfires were surrounding the near by forests around our home last summer in Ellensburg, Washington, my dog and I went out to the only place where there were no active wildfires. We ending up hiking a few miles through the woods and smoke filled sky to "Lost Lake" where we finally saw blue skies and a hazy lake.
