Early on Sunday morning, I was looking up in the trees to see blue jays that were singing loud, when this beautiful hawk caught my eyes by surprise down in the playground! Here she is about to fly. Patches of wilderness are everywhere, even in NYC if one is aware of it. Wilderness is the encounter with this wonderful hawk that I have never seen before. But it`s also the doves that come on my fire escape everyday, or those trees on the sidewalk that are almost 'Nature Shrines' in the city.
