    We finally found an IRL experience that appeals to our teenage son: degus. A degu is a small South American rodent similar to a chipmunk. They love PVC pipe as it reminds them of their natural tendency to tunnel. Degus are extremely curious and social and need daily interaction with their "pack," including their human caregiver.
