A Boy and his Degus
Degus are a highly social animal that lives in tunnel colonies along the Chilean coast. They come as a pack; a solitary degu will die of loneliness.
They're also impossible to distinguish from each other when they are young (these are about 10 weeks old,) so we've trimmed a bit of hair to show the undercoat on two of these guys: Rocket has the spot on his back, that's Jenkins in the middle, and Wheatley (AKA Chubby Butt) has a stripe on his rear.
