On many of the suggested itineraries for spending a few days in Tokyo, the Tsukiji Fish Market and wholesale auction is always near the top. Didn't get up at 3:00am to get in line for the tuna auction but did walk through the wholesale market. Worth the trip. That said (and this opinion might be influenced by the hot, humid July day when we were there) the outer market which has places to eat seafood and buy trinkets was a let down. Buses unloading mobs of people standing in line everywhere.
