Edit Photo Details Clownfish Tending Eggs   #eggs #clownfish #spawn
This is a male ocellaris clownfish ("Snowflake" morph) tending his eggs. In the clownfish social hierarchy, males are almost exclusively responsible for caring for their eggs by aerating them with their fins, keeping the area around the eggs clean and free from algae, and removing any eggs that have gone bad. This photo shows a spawn at 5 of 7 days prior to hatching.
