    Har Ki Pauri or ‘Footsteps of the Lord’ is considered to be the most sacred place in the holy city of Haridwar on the banks of river Ganges. The scene played out of devotees lining up on the Malviya Islands on the banks of the river to witness the evening prayers has been repeated every day since the ancient history of the city.
