End Of The Santa Fe Trail
Classic car model on old map of San Gabriel Valley, the place names of which are saturated in history. El Monte was established during the gold rush of the early 1800's. The MGM lion and most of the lions and tigers in Hollywood films came from Gay's Lion Farm in El Monte; resident's of the city could hear their roars for miles around. It closed during WW2. Irwindale is famous for it's racetrack the roars of which can be heard for miles around. The San Gabriel Mission was established in 1771....
