    Philippe's restaurant opened in 1908. An historic landmark on the edge of Los Angeles's Chinatown. Sawdust on the floors (downstairs), this photo was taken on the 2nd floor, a quiet refuge during off-hours. Famous for its' French Dip sandwiches and hot mustard, the menu and decor haven't changed since it opened.
