    These fast flying bees, have on their abdomens, stripes with brilliant blue or blue-green on black. Ranging from 9 mm to 14 mm in body length, these robust bees, are common throughout the Asia-Pacific region from China to Australia. They perform 'buzz pollination’, by grasping a flower and shivering the flight muscles,the pollen shoots out of the flower capsule. Their long tongues reach into deep flowers. These bees pose no threat to people .This picture is a combination of nine frames.
