Just two days before this sunflower bursts opens to display its brilliant lemon yellow petals the plant reveals its seed face for the observers, especially young children. While still enveloped in large green outer leaves, the face looks green, yet in the days to come and once surrounded with those brilliant yellow petals it becomes obvious that the face is indeed yellow.
