This photo has a rather interesting back story. That feeder was hanging with red ribbon attached to the top (to attract hummingbirds) for weeks (of course, I change the nectar) without any creature even coming near it. I was going to give up on Texan hummingbirds. But, today, my patience has paid off. This is one of four times that I have taken a picture of a hummingbird, and all of my previous attempts show just the bird's silhouette. Words cannot explain my joy.
