Jerash - the site of a Greco Roman city, founded by Alexander the Great in about 331 B.C. There are signs that the area was inhabited during the bronze age circa 3200 to 1200 B.C. In this picture, the Oval Plaza and a wide angle photograph of the excavation site, under a rainbow that appeared fortuitously. The city of modern Jerash in the background is under a bit of sunlight.
