Dutch Apple Picking
My family went out to take part in the Netherlands National Apple Picking Day. Farmers open up their fields for locals to come by and pick their own fruits. We went to Noorbeek in the southern Limburg province to pick some crisp and sweet Alistair apples. The owner gave us a personal tour. The crates setup by the farmers throughout the orchard for the major harvest had dates ranging from 1995 to 1978... Their family has been growing apples on these fields for much longer than that.
