    These old pumps (three in total) have stood here since the early sixties, possibly mid to late fifties. Irelands currency has changed at least twice in that timeframe. Many young people have never heard of Pounds shilling's and pence and some even ask what gallons are, as nowadays all fuel is measured here in litres. They stand now as monoliths to imperialistic measures preserving memories of style and culture which has passed unnoticed in a busy world.
