Milkweed Tussock Moth Caterpillar
The caterpillar form of the rather bland looking Milkweed Tussock Moth (Euchaetes egle) is a beautiful insect that appears as if a mysterious tuft of oddly colored carpet escaped from someone's home. Photograph was taken at Moraine Hills State Park, McHenry County, Illinois.
