We encountered this Cheetah known as Malaika with 5 of her cubs during a storm in the Maasai Mara, Kenya. The cubs were all huddled underneath their mother when we heard a loud lightning strike. This seemed to frighten the cubs and caused them to instinctively run a short distance away. In an instant reaction, their mother called them back and they all immediately ran back to her one after the other, seemingly looking to be consoled. Challenging to photograph, but a scene I'll never forget.
