Büyükada is the largest of the Princes' Islands near Istanbul, Turkey. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the islands so horse-drawn carriages and bicycles rule the roads. The old-world atmosphere of Büyükada, meaning "big island" in Turkish, is enhanced by the historic mansions that line Çankaya Street, arguably one of the most beautiful streets in the country.
