After the initial cultural shock a traveller suffers his first time in India, it took me some time to find a place that matched the idilic image I had of this far away land. But when I found it, on the shore of Pichola Lake in Udaipur, I was transported to my childhood dreams of maharajas and Punjab dancers, of exotic animals and unfamiliar costumes and smells. In the photo, my girlfriend contemplates the sunset while I capture this moment that hangs between dream and reality.
