    Reported by:

A group of us were travelling to a protected section of mangroves near Chetumal in Mexico in early January of 2014. This area is so heavily protected only conservationists are allowed to visit. We hoped to catch a glimpse of manatees feeding on the sea grass, no such luck. However we tracked a group of bottlenose dolphins through the crystal waters, before meeting with a Mangrove specialist who explained how the ecosystem recovered after severe hurricanes a few years back.
