Angel Falls
My brother-in-law, Orazio, took me on a trip to Canaima during my five weeks in Venezuela. We were so lucky. Usually there is a thick blanket of fog covering the tepui on the way up to Angel Falls. You ride in a wooden boat carved by the people that live in Canaima for about 5.5 hours upstream, surrounded by the Amazon forest and tepui. Usually the fog is so thick you cannot even see the giant tepui surrounding you, and this was the first sighting of Angel Falls from our little boat.
