This was taken during a hike down and up the Vikos Gorge in the Zagori region of Greece (it's the deepest gorge in Europe!) This competitor of a race takes a break at the bottom of the gorge by a river, after having run about 5km of steep downhill. He now prepares to run the same distance up the other side, to reach the elevated village of Vikos, where the race will end. As far as I can tell, he is currently the front runner.
