My daughter and I went for a walk yesterday. We came across a woodpecker but before I had a chance to raise my camera it took off. Just my luck it flew past a tree with two more Palliated woodpeckers at eye height. Normally skittish, these guys were very comfortable with us around. We were able to get quite close and follow them as they hopped from tree to tree and we got several shots. These are some of the best of them.
