    Reported by:

This portrait was shot during a Ganesh Chaturthi procession where idols of Lord Ganapati are immersed in the Sea, River or Lake. There is tradition of applying gullal (a red coloured powder) on the face. I spotted this boy in the crowded procession with the gullal covering only a part of his face. The boy turned towards me as he saw my lens. I managed to capture his weak confused smile which is highlighted due to the contrast of the red colour and the whiteness of his eyes & teeth.
