    As a contributor for The Outdoor Project, I have been to many locations along the Monterey Bay in California. I fondly recall Asilomar State Marine Reserve where I was documenting the shoreline as a great place for wildlife viewing. The place was crawling with over zealous ground squirrels begging for food. What was completely unexpected to me was my dog Kiah was completely relaxed, which I think the critters picked up on. I was even more surprised when one came up and the two touched noses
