The Old, The New and The Black Cuillins
When my wife joined me in retirement from teaching in 2013, we decided to take the ultimate road trip through the Scottish Highlands, including a visit to the ruggedly beautiful Isle of Skye. We went in September, because we could now that we didn't have to be in school! Among our favorite sights were the old bridge (right) and the new bridge that lie side by side over the River Sligachan on Skye, dwarfed by the mighty Black Cuillin mountains in the background.
