The Black Vulture
The Black Vulture swoops up and down and around the Black Canyon National Park outside of Gunnison and Montrose in Colorado. With a 66-inch wingspan, this raptor is certainly beautiful while in flight but frightening up close. According to Wikipedia, "The black vulture is considered a threat by cattle ranchers due to its predation on newborn cattle. It's also considered a threato the safety of aerial traffic, especially when it congregates in large numbers in the vicinity of garbage dumps." Wow.
