    Aiguille du Midi in the clouds. The Aiguille du Midi is a mountain in the Mont Blanc massif in the French Alps. Elevation is 3,842 m (12,605 ft). The name "Aiguille du Midi" means literally Needle of le Midi, le Midi is a southern region of France.
