GET THE HINT
I visited the Kaitorete spit on Banks Peninsula last night with the aim of getting some moonlit sea and star shots. When I got there I found a family fishing with a fire going, and accompanied with the moonlight it made for some lighting difficulty as there was a lot of light coming from all directions.
I still managed to get some shots and to my surprise found some colour from the southern lights starting to appear on the horizon.
Unfortunately the cloud then rolled in.
