A fishing/camping holiday to the remote Janie Creek north of Weipa, Queensland, revealed some unexpected discoveries while beach combing. Who knows how many miles this gas bottle has travelled before coming to rest on the fringe of the Arafura Sea. It may of originated from an Indonesian fishing boat or village, washed away during the monsoon season, or perhaps from the Torres Strait Islands.
