Tahquamenon RIver, Upper Peninsula, Michigan. A small motorized fishing boat had just passed us when I noticed the psychedelic view created by some of their leaking fuel. We stopped our boat to watch the shoreline, swirls, shapes and reflection as it quietly evolved over the next 30 minutes. We were the only ones on the river who experienced this and we still remind ourselves that pausing that day was the best thing we did on our river trip.
