On a recent trip to the Maldives to witness local life, we visited one of the many islands inhabited. This island did have a few tourist lodges, but not the fancy so called 'Honeymoon Resorts'. The Maldivians women are reserved & do not mingle with the men while in public. It was interesting to see the women fishing together for their daily food, while the men fished on the opposite side of the jetty. This picture shows the joys of a child, learning to fish.
