It had been a long time coming for surf and lighting conditions to meet like this. On Saturday, as the waves from Hurricane Gonzalo worked it's way into Ruggles, Rhode Islands famed point break located just off the Newport Cliff Walk behind the Breakers Mansion, strong southwest winds plagued the peak of the action. But those who rose early Sunday morning were lucky enough to catch this magic window, with light northwest winds, and 8' sets still rolling in.
