This photo was taken on the approach to Northover Ridge in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, Alberta, Canada. With these hikers leading the way, I was able to capture this action shot on the last section of the journey. This is on the Alberta side of the ridge, with B.C. on the opposite side. Deep in the backcountry, the only sounds we could hear were the crunching of the snow beneath us and the sound of our breathing.
