The Zimbabwean summer is a colourful one. After a dry, brown winter the rain arrives and everything begins to come alive. There is a general busyness in the air as baby birds learn to fly and bees buzz about collecting pollen. This shot captures a stillness through which the bustle of the season can be forgotten and the beauty of a single moment can be soaked in. Taken a few metres from the house, the macro view gives a sense of the intricate beauty that can exist in a seemingly ordinary place.
