Winter brings so much attention to light and the subtle colors that occur in nature. This image captured a moment of nature's true beauty. The light coming through illuminates every detail of snowflake and frost. I wanted to photograph frost because it can take on so many different roles that create abstract and dreamlike worlds. By getting so close to the window and observing the frost and it's patterns the frost slowing became pearl like as it radiated from the middle source of light.
