Defensive weaponry is displayed menacingly by a Shortfin Lionfish and Double-Spined Urchin, together forming a protective phalanx on the muck bottom off Anilao, Philippines. The lionfish has no fear, given its arsenal of poisonous spines, and dares a diver to come close enough for a life-size portrait such as this one.
