Ever So Blue
A blue gentian (Gentiana acaulis) blooms in my garden last spring. The plant was a gift from my partner, who's favorite color is blue. What a blue it is! The velvety texture of the petals has lots of hidden surprises. The flowers are typically pollinated by bumblebees who are also attracted to blue. The size of the flower from base to top is about 1.5" (3.8 cm) ©Chris Carvalho/Lensjoy.com
