One weekend In November I went on a ptarmigan patrol with my college ranger in Thingvellir National park. Ptarmigan hunting is strictly forbidden inside of the National park so we drive around the borders of the NP and educate hunters about where they can hunt and where they cant. In this photo we are located just outside of the north borders of Thingvellir National park.
