The Pajarito mountains in south Arizona is a popular spot for people trying to flee the violence of Mexico. Unfortunately in the summer, the weather and terrain can be harsh. On my hike, I found several areas where water jugs had been left for immigrants, as well as grave markers guarded by the virgin Mother Mary left for those not lucky enough to make it.
