It was 3 a.m., and I found myself wandering around the district of Kreuzberg, Berlin. He asked me for some change. I dropped in a few cents and asked him if I could take his photo. He struck a pose, then passionately declared why Kreuzberg was the best neighborhood in the city--and that he and his girlfriend had a fight. It turns out that he's a pretty well-known figure in that borough.
