    Reported by:

Altocumulus Standing Lenticular (ACSL) - This cloud formation was too large for the updraft (caused by the sun warming the eastern face of the Catalina's). So instead of forming a nice round lenticular, the updraft cut through the cloud forming several beautiful layers. The updraft, though weak, eventual whittled away at the cloud cutting it down in size. However the updraft was marginalized by the overall morning warm-up and not enough differential to create any more lenticular activity.
