On winter nights, the stars burn with cold arrogance. Orion's Belt hangs low and serene in the east, brilliant and indifferent to the light pollution from the nearby city. It is both humbling and reassuring to recall that while we burn our forests, level our mountains, and fill in our seas, we can never tear down the stars. (30 second exposure)
