Rural Maine offers hope and food
I took the assignment guidelines and ventured out to a local food pantry in Stetson, Maine. It is small, rural community of 1200 people with one small general story and a 4 corner intersection. I learned a lot and met a lot of people. This is a town food pantry for Stetson run by volunteers. Clyde and Theresa started the pantry 22 years ago! Local farms donate potatoes, squash and apples. Bakeries give bread and the local people raise money to keep it stocked. A man gathers food for his family.
