A winter afternoon late November near Dalvik in northern Iceland. Global warming or not, there has practically been no snow in the area this winter. This might have its explanation in the ongoing volcanic activity by the Bardarbunga caldera. The intensity of the colours are due to the massive amount of Sulphur dioxide in the air from the volcano. It has been going for nearly two months now. It was windy and cold when this was shot, but the clear ice in the foreground reflects the sky.
