The image was made during the fall at Graveyard Fields along the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. An ND filter was used to be able to decrease the shutter speed allowing the slow exposure t o the available light and therefore was tripod mounted and the shutter was released with a cable release. The long exposure allows the photographer to create beautiful silk patterns in the flowing water.
